How Long Do Fillers Last?

Fillers can last 4 – 18 months depending on the treated area and type of filler used.
Your doctor should be able to discuss this with you in more detail in your consultation.

After the treatment

The doctor will give you some recommendations and discuss the side effects of the treatment to consider, however some of the more commonly asked questions are:

Can I touch my face after treatment? Yes you can however it is advisable to not rub or massage the area for at least 6 hours unless instructed to do so by the doctor.
How long is the recovery time? The doctors use very thin needles to inject the product into the desired areas which helps to minimise any bruising however you may experience slight swelling which should subside in a few hours.
How long does the treatment take to see the effects? Botox product can take up too two weeks for the full effect of the treatment to be seen however you should usually see the first effects 3-5 days later.
Can I apply makeup after the treatment? We recommend not applying makeup for at least 4 hours after the procedure

What are the side effects?

Due to the use of the needle there is likely to be some bleeding at the site of the injection. As expected for any injection procedure, pain, burning, stinging, swelling and bruising may be associated with the injection and this may last for several days after the treatment.
You may also experience discolouration of the injection site, necrosis, abscess formation, granulomas, hypersensitivity and haematomas but this is very rare.
